This is one of the books in the Nancy Drew mystery series. None of them will leave you feeling sad or with an unpleasant taste in your mouth. They have been loved by generations of girls and when they were reprinted, I bought all I could find and am enjoying them again.

Warning: These books may seem a bit tame because, unlike so many modern books for young people, they do not assume that just because life can be hard and is even awful for some people, you want divorce, tragedy, and death rubbed in your face in the name of entertainment.
