Going to Marie-says-hi in Devon

Journal Entry 3 by marie-says-hi from Oxford, Oxfordshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, March 8, 2005
I just got sent this by XLonelyGuy. Thanks to him.

Am half way through the Da Vinci Code at the moment, but will be reading this as soon as I've finished that.

Read quite a few other Nick Hornby books, and I've always been a big fan, so hopefully this will be just as good.

Caught at Oxford bookcrossing meetup on 10 May 05, Lamb and Flag pub.

Will read once I've finished Gormenghast.

OK, so I didn't wait until I'd finished Gormenghast.

And I'm glad I didn't, because it was great. Brilliantly observed. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Journal Entry 9 by TheSilk from Oxford, Oxfordshire United Kingdom on Saturday, May 14, 2005
Found on the bookshelf of my pub, while clearing up one night. Read it and returned it back to the shelf for any of my punters to discover and steal. If anyone is reading this to find out in years to come where the battered copy of the book they just found taped underneath a cow (or wherever) has been, try The Gardeners Arms, Plantation Road, Oxford.

CAUGHT IN OXFORD OXFORDSHIRE BRITIAN

Journal Entry 10 by bjharris126 from Azusa, California USA on Friday, August 4, 2006
I am a college student from the States who was studying in Oxford, England. One night while at the Gardener's Arms pub I noticed a book that was not as rustic looking as those around it. I was intrigued so I picked it up and realized it was part of book crossing. I kept it with me while I was in Oxford, and didn't finish until the plane ride back to the States. It will now be released somewhere in Southern California.
