Since last summer, I have been reading my little brother's summer reading list with him. This has been more than a little fun. Some of the titles are not my favorite but he has picked some really great books. This is one of them. I never read this one when I was a youngster but I am glad to have had the chance, and I recommend it both to all who have also skipped it, and to all who haven't read it for some time. Not only is it an interesting look into one man's perspective of the 'wild spirit', written at the turn of a previous century, but it also has one of the greatest beginnings to a novel I have ever read, not to mention a fantastic vocabulary!
