Girl with a Pearl Earring
4 journalers for this copy...
finished this this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an easy but absorbing read. The author is very good at a conjuring an atmosphere with just a few words.
The book had me wondering
That women in this period had little/no control over their lives.
Fortunes and family security could easily be reversed by illness and accidents.

Received. Start reading.
Amazing. It's easy to read and entertaining. I really enjoy reading this book. What I like most is how Griet adapting to her new life, showing maturity beyond her age.
Thanks for sharing.
Amazing! 2 years after I sent my address, the book arrived *roll eyes*
I'll give it a try once I finish my current book...
I read it really quickly, on a weekend, because it's such a great book.
I'm not sure I'd have appreciated it as much if I hadn't seen the movie though, and liked it so much. Not for the story, because the book goes more in-depth, but seeing Scarlett Johansson as Griet in my mind made her more 3-dimentional.
I'll return it to Jenatleisure now.
