The Wish Giver is a favorite children's read of mine. I believe that I first read The Wish Giver in the fourth grade and then proceeded to read it about once a year until I was 14 or so. I recently discovered this copy at a thrift store and had to buy it to read it once again. Far be it from me, however, to keep it from others. I don't care if you are 4 or 34, it's a good story, a super-fast read, and a kindly diversion from the world.
