Purchased with a Christmas Gift certificate from my Mom.
Interesting, made even more so by the fact that I know someone who went thru something like this.
To justify th pun of a title, half of the book takes place as if it were a series of NPR's programming. The audiobook doesn't really take advantage of it audibility in this regard; but that might have require a rewrite rather than an adaption. No doubt the book was clearer in regards to what was broadcast and what is narration of another stripe.
The story could have been better and more involving, but this is what happens sometimes with abridgements. You are left wondering if what was left out would have improved things...
