Having read the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown I was looking forward to reading this book and I was not disappointed. A pacy intriguing thriller/mystery that was difficult to put down.

I finally got around to reading this! It was added to my suitcase so I could read it while travelling overseas...it looked like a good airplane read! And it was! I found this book really interesting and I'm hoping Dan Brown did his research and that it is true and correct because I happened to be reading this in the weeks after Pope John Paul II's death and the news was full of the speculation and conclave of the cardinals which was what I happened to be reading about. Very appropriate and made it all seem more real. In the end it was a nailbiting story line which I enjoyed reading.

Now I'm London I'm leaving it with Hawkette, hopefully she'll get around to reading it soon!

I have grabbed this from TramGirl while she has been over visiting here in London. Being maybe the only person on the planet who hasn't read The Da Vinci Code, I have been assured that they don't follow on, and that this one is actually set before the No 1.

When I first started reading this I was thinking - what's all the fuss about!!?? It's just like any mystery thriller. But this one is geared to the contemporary questioning of God verses science. I mean, it's a similar formula to so many in the thriller genre really, it reminded me of Matthew Reilly actually.

As I got further in, and was impressed by the clues, the pace and the thrill was quite gripping. Very well done.

Has certainly ignited my lust to visit Rome!!
