I read this recently as part of the wishlist tag game in the forums. It was my first time reading a book in this series and honestly, I'm not sure I would again. While I really enjoyed the story and thought it was well done, the Clare Ferguson character drove me crazy. She was just so impulsive, running off to question suspects and getting herself into dangerous situations, that I felt like I was watching a horror movie and the dumb teenage girl was going into the dark scary basement to get hacked to pieces by the murderer. I also figured out who the killer was some distance before the end of the book, something I don't often do, which is another strike against it. So if another book in this series pops up at the library book sale, I might pick it up, but I likely will not.

The book has arrived in NJ. Thanks so much. One of my bookclub members recommended this for one of our monthly books.
I have to agree with collectorkerri’s review. It will be interesting to see what the rest of my bookclub thinks when we meet to discuss it later this month.
On reserve for ethera for the wishlist tag game.
Sending to ethera for the wishlist tag game. Enjoy!
