You're not going to believe this but only a short while ago a lovely BCer sent me her copy because it was on my wishlist so I'm going to pm Syrinpt straight away and get this book moving once more. Thanks for sending it to me!
I sooo can not do this again!!
Do you know how long it was since I read a whole book in a day? From early in the morning until late night? Years, I tell you, years. And you know what is worse? The fact that I should be studying for my exams, not reading about Bad Girls!! :)
LOL. Anyway, the damage is done, the book is read and here are my thoughts.
I love mysteries and thrillers, because they captivate me, and leave me wanting to read some more pages, to see how the book is going to end. That happened here too, I couldn't wait to see how they were going to catch the killer. And I liked the premise: a female serial killer. Very cool. I only had one pet peeve: what sort of a name is Chicago America? And Ash? LOL
I have the book packed and ready to go, but I probably won't be able to go to the post office until thursday or friday, so sorry about the delay.
Thanks for making this bookring, pammynk
[19/05/05] On its way to chich today. Hope you like it!

Starting reading this book last night and couldn't put it down until I finished it =big black circles under my eyes this morning;)
The book is packed with a lot of twists and turns that leave you wondering who the serial killer is. Although the answer to that question is answered before the end of the book it is still interesting to see how Windy and her team work (if you like CSI, you'll love this!)
I was a bit disappointed by the last four chapters though, they felt a bit rushed, as if the author wanted to get it over with real quick...
A very good book nevertheless! Thanks for sharing pammykn:)

Another ring at my house YIKES!! Reading as fast as I can. This one looks good, so will definitly read this one. May have to pass on some others at my house already. Thanks for sharing.
OK I AM SO SORRY TO STILL HAVE THIS BOOK AT MY HOUSE. I AM CURRENTLY READING IT. I AM ON PAGE 169. I REALLY LIKE IT SO FAR. I WISH I HAD A FEW HOURS THAT I COULD JUST SIT AND READ, CAUSE I WOULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. I WILL HOPEFULLY HAVE THIS BOOK DONE SOON.
I finished last night. I really liked most of it. I am not sure if I liked the end. Especially with Eve. Wanted to know more, but it kinda rushed to end.
I PMed gothamgal on July 28, but did not get a response. Will PM her again now. As soon as I get an address the book will be mailed.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Got this in the mail today. I'll be getting to it shortly as I've got a few books ahead of it. :)
This was a great book, and I look forward to reading more by this author. (I see she has a historical line as well as her newer crime/mystery books too.) Windy is a great character, not dull and boring in comparison to Kinsey in Grafton's alphabet books. Her relationship with her daughter Cate, her attraction to Ash, combined to make a character you could really like and admire. The story contained a lot of red herrings to throw you off the track of the serial killer, and it kept me engrossed long into the night when I should've been trying to get to sleep. :)
I've got gothamgal's address and will get this in the mail to her either Tuesday or Wednesday.
UPDATE: Mailed out to gothamgal in Ohio via Media Mail on 9/7/05.

rec'd as part of a bookring--Sending out to pheelya next week.
Update. I started it again Friday and finished it today (Saturday). I have a couple of unresolved issues with the book, but I liked it overall. I had things figured out pretty quickly, just not the subtleties.
Will be sending to gingersmack on my weekly postal run next saturday. Pheelya's bookshelf said to skip her for the time being.
