OMG, I had this for a whole year! Finally, I got around to reading it.

I have to say, that I did like the story and story-telling and found the whole setting very interesting, but I had one big problem...

*rant-mode on*
I don't like reading in slang. I cannot read Scottish slang! I don't mind hearing it but I can't stand it if it's written down. This has nothing to do with the Scottish-ness (it's lovely to listen to Scots talk). I loath books in slang even (or especially) if it's my own. Annoying! Annoying! Annoying!
