Absolutely LOVED this book, as I did the movie. Releasing this book into the wild was a tough decision. I want to KEEP it close! But, as they say, just gathering dust on the shelf, versus, well . . .
In case you're one of the few who have not seen the movie of the same title starring Tom Hanks, with a wonderful performance by Michael Clarke Duncan, this story tells of a black man in the deep south of 1935 found guilty of a vile and violent crime and the miraculous impact he has on the lives of others while awaiting his death sentence in the electric chair. It is character rich (including a trained mouse), moving, hilarious, and heart rending. What a wonderful tale! Don't miss it.

My daughter found it at the Mall while she was Chritmas shopping with her dad. I plan to leave it somewhere so someone else may read the book.
