I thought I would add this little book in my NSSFC parcel as I have sent copies to friends abroad who have enjoyed the recipes. It has some lovely illustrations of Lancashire, and some great food. The Morecambe Bay Shrimps are included from my area. Oh, and I've never eaten Cow Heel and Beef Pie! Eccles Cakes are included which are nationally renowned, and delicious, as are the different cakes like Manchester tart.

Received in my NSSFC parcel and I love it! It's great being able to find out more about the country which is going to be my home for the next couple of years! Sounds like some good winter cooking (Lancashire Hot Pot..Mmm) Perfect for this time of year. I might try to attempt a recipe or two! I like the sound of Wet Nelly as BreadnButter Pud is one of my favourite. A few things I'll have to look up as I have no idea what a Damson is!
