I have another copy in Swedish, that is PC. Bought this to release it =) I truly loved the book, as I have loved the other Hornby-books.

Product Description:
Katie Carr is a good person. She recycles. She's against racism. She's a good doctor, a good mom, a good wife....well, maybe not that last one, considering she's having an affair and has just requested a divorce via cell phone. But who could blame her? For years her husband's been selfish, sarcastic, and underemployed, writing the "Angriest Man in Holloway" column for their local paper.

But now David's changed. He's become a good person, too-really good. He's found a spiritual leader. He has become kind, soft-spoken, and earnest. He's even got a homeless kid set up in the spare room. Katie isn't sure if this is a deeply-felt conversion, a brain tumor-or David's most brilliantly vicious manipulation yet. Because she's finding it more and more difficult to live with David-and with herself.

"Hornby pulls off the seemingly impossible: He tackles marriage and the nature of benevolence from a woman's point of view without sacrificing his impish charm." (New York)

This is one of the 4 surprise books I've received from GrizzlyGirl! It wasn't even on the list of books I've mentioned but I was very glad to receive it anyway, I love these kind of books... so I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it a lot! Thanks for the surprise GrizzlyGirl... I won't hold on to them too long!

Correction: this book was on the list I've mentioned afterall! :-)

I've finished this book tonight and I loved it, just as I thought I would! The narrator, Katie, tells about her life in a funny sarcastic way. She's found herself a lover because her marriage with David is not what it should be. She's not happy with her angry selfish husband but when David changes and becomes the opposite, Katie notices that what seemed to be bad before was not so bad afterall. Her 'new' husband turns Katie's life completely up side down. This book was really funny and I enjoyed it a lot! :-)

Thanks GrizzlyGirl, for sharing this book with me. I'll be sending it back to you as soon as I've finished the other 2 suprise books!

Okay, here's the deal. First an apology. I don't know HOW I missed journaling this book when it was so kindly sent to me by GrizzlyGirl almost two years go. Somehow it got absorbed into the ever-expanding TBR section of my bookshelf. I humbly apologize. However, let it be known that when in doubt, I like to lay the blame on the evildoers, who MUST have had a hand in this. And I will search under every rock, look in every cave, leave no stone unturned to find them. And, in all this time, I have not read the book. I know, shame on me. I'm sure the evildoers are responsible for that as well.

However, amidst this sad and depressing news, there is hope. I am passing this along to smilingheron who 1) has read it and 2) is sending it to someone who has it on their wishlist.

The book has been duly passed to me. I HAVE read this book, though it was several (dare I say MANY?) years ago...

I am sending this book, along with several books, to a fellow bookcrosser in the spirit of keeping books going along their merry bookcrossing way.

NOTE: This book in my possession has a different cover than the one pictured. This copy is just as good, if not better, than the one pictured.
