I was delighted to receive a book about Indians living in the US...it reminded me of THE MISTRESS OF THE SPICES, which I loved, and it continues the 'tradition' of Lady Bookfrogster sending to me Indian fiction (which I love). I haven't heard of this writer before, and I look forward to reading the novel in a hopefully near future!
