Love Song
2 journalers for this copy...
Let me just say that I am one of Nikki Gemmell's biggest fan and I didn' think I'd ever be able to bookcross one of her books (without buying myself a 'permanent collection' copy!).
Having said that, I was disappointed with this latest one. The blurb on the back did not describe the story I read and the story itself seemed messy and incoherent.
I think after 'The Bride Stripped Bare', which delved so far into the subject matter, this was like a washed-out version of what Gemmell normally writes.
I'd would be interested to find out what other people thought/think of this one....

RELEASE NOTES:
Picked this up on a bench in Fremantle, Perth, Western Australia.
Tried very hard to read it, but didn't get past the first chapter. Just not my cup of tea.
Having said that, have passed it on to a friend.

Was extremely well written and moving.
My husband read it also and got a completely different perpective and emphasis form it. He completely identified with the dysfunctional religious fanaticism whereas I more identified with the independent nature of the individual heroine and her struggle to be her and find a meaning and a place she felt comfortable.
