This was a great, juicy adventure story. Read it a while ago, but I still remember the swash-buckling whaling adventures; the spunk and depth of the heroine; the insights to the complex man Ahab may have been. It was a great story. As the blurbs on the back say, it is a "tale of a life fully lived". Set aside some time (it's long) and enjoy.
