I was quite impressed with this book.
A killer is going through the phone book methodically killing all the M. Douglases. The next on the list, Mara Douglas, and a friend of her sister's, Aidan Shields is sent to protect her.
Very well written and it's one of three in a series. I already have the 2nd one ready to go.

What an interesting concept. Mariah Stewart has written a series of 3 thrillers that are interconnected yet can stand alone. (Dead Wrong, plus Dead Even & Dead Certain) Three killers, locked up together for a few hours, agree to a "round robin" hit list. They figure they can literally get away with murder if they each kill the enemies of the OTHER guy. Does it work?
