Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
2 journalers for this copy...
What a fun way to start off this series. A very quick read, but one I've read over and over again. Each time I noticed more details that relate to future books. Never fails to make me laugh and smile.
I ran into another copy of this book, so I'm going to release this one.
I've decided to hang onto this for now. I'm starting to build a collection of books appropriate for middle schoolers because I'll probably be teaching in about a year, and I'd like to have some books for my classroom.
The book is now part of my middle school classroom collection.
From the back cover:
"Harry Potter has never played a sport while flying on a broomstick. He's never worn a cloak of invisibility, befriended a giant, or helped hatch a dragon. All Harry knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley. Harry's room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn't had a birthday party in eleven years.
But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to a wonderful place he never dreamed existed. There he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic around every corner, but a great destiny that's been waiting for him...if Harry can survive the encounter."

This will be available in the classroom library this coming school year.
I am no longer teaching middle school, so all of my books have come home with me. I'm donating this one to a friend's charity book sale.
