This book took me quite awhile to read. Although it was well-written, it was not as delightful as Sarah Turnbull's Almost French. In Paris to the Moon, Adam gopnik chronicles his five years in Paris with his American wife and young child. In Almnost French, Turnbull, an Australian, chrnonicles her romance with a Parisian and the disconnects with the French culture. Both are interesting (although I found myself skipping huge passages of Gopnick's book), but Turnbull's book is charming.

I received this in the mail today from Amusedbythis. Looking forward to reading it. I haven't had the pleasure of living in Paris, but I have visited and can't wait to see what this author has to say about living in the city. Thanks!
