I liked this book when I got into it... the first story was kind of boring, but it got better after that.
I am soooo dense sometimes. I didn't even realize until halfway into the novel that the stories were all by the same bunch of women.
I enjoyed it being seperated into different stories for each chapter, it made for easy decisions before going to bed; read one story, then sleep!
I should be passing this on Friday in the mail. Payday!!

Another wonderful book by Amy Tan. It's incredibly touching at times and I'm sure that my feelings towards it will be different when I'm a new and old mother, even a grandmother. I'll send this book along by fulfilling a wish in Finland, but I'll buy a copy for myself. This is my third AmyTan, all BC books, all great reads.

It took me a while to read the book, but I really enjoyed it. The little stories were interesting and taught me more appriciation of other cultures. I'm definitely happy I got a change to read this book! Thank you everyone! :)

This was a wonderful book. I actually cried at the end, despite already knowing what was going to happen due to watching the movie first. I'm with Xana. I will have to buy a copy for my own PC to read again when I am older and have grown children. I'm sure I will take away more from the book at that time. I must read more Amy Tan books.
