Annie and Myrtle can't remember a time when they were not the most unlikely of friends. Loyal to each other through the harsh enviroment which is their Scottish home. Their friendship is tested again when Myrtle has the greatest affair of her life, and Annie is dissapointed again. A tragic accident leaves the friends apart and exposes the secret jealousy and betrayal that each has hidden over the years.

Yep, not really my thing. I was a bit disappointed as it actually looked like it might be quite a good read. I do try to vary my reading from time to time, and have had some lovely surprises that way from books I would never normally consider, but it wasn't to be with this one. Oh well, hopefully it will appeal to the next reader more.
