Old copy, paperback not the same cover.
I have never read this book because my ex-husband hated it when reading it at high school. Now I have read it I can see why a 17 year old boy would not be interested, an interesting choice for an all boys school.
I personally enjoyed the book. Gave an insight into the well-to-do of New York in the 1920s. The pressures then of society to marry well, the difference between the old and new rich. As well as the destruction and unhappiness caused ... have a read!

I read this book as a teenager so I am releasing it into the Classics bookbag.
I've taken this from the Classics bookbag. I read it at school & thought I'd give it another try now when I might enjoy it more & not have to analyse every sentence.
