Another Goodwill find. In my "Read Me" Pile. I've already promised this to Tokyo once I'm finished with it.
It literally took me one day to read this. I couldn't put it down. This book was translated from German, and surprisingly, the flow of the story was not lost in the translation. There are a lot of surprises in the plot, which make the story that much more interesting. I don't know what else to say about this one. It's just a good story. I'm sending this book to Hamilton, for Tokyo.

It's a "leave it in my boyfriend's mailbox so Tokyo can trade it with hers" swap! :) Enjoy the book, Tokyo! :)

Got the book- Thanks so much spunkeesunshine!
This book lay on my shelf for weeks while I played catch-up to my other work at the University. Then, when I finally got the chance to read it- it was done within a day or two. The prose is sparse but Schlink seems to be able to create such beautiful images with the economy of his words. It's not an easy story to read as the book poses interesting moral questions for the reader-but it has a hyponotic quality to it nonetheless which is free from sentimentality. _Highly_ recommended! Thanks Spunkeesunshine!
I plan to release this one directly to another bookcrosser who I know will enjoy it. Most likely 'Godzilla'....
