I was such a sucker for this love story, that a friend and I tore down to our favorite used bookstore after we both read it, sat on the floor, and searched through the stacks of old National Geographics until we found the 1966 issue where we expected to find the picture of the covered bridge in Madison County. Yes, we so bought into this story that we were convinced it was true. I should be embarrassed to admit this, but I see it as a testiment to the author.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I loved the love story that developed between the two and it made me wish something like that would happen in my life ! LOL... Great book... gotta read it !
