Very popular series with the members of the BCUK Yahoo group, so picked up as a spare copy to pass on.

Caught at a BXers meetup at my house. I've been wanting to try the Sue Graftons for a while, and now's my chance.

Another very entertaining Sue Grafton novel, full of twists, turns, and the indefatigable Kinsey Millhone. Kinsey isn't paid for a job and in chasing payment, she uncovers a dark mystery. Where next, Kleptokitty?

Released 18 yrs ago (8/31/2005 UTC) at The Duke's Cut (previously Rosie O'Grady's) in Oxford, Oxfordshire United Kingdom

Snapped up from the shelves at the OBCZ in Rosie O'Grady's pub during the St Egbert's Day meet-up. I'm glad it's OK to read the Kinsey Millhone books out of sequence as I seem to be dancing all over the place with them, started with A and B, then R, now D ;o) Having read a much later book in the series it's easy to see how the character has developed when going back to an earlier novel. It's also easy to see why this series is so popular. Millhone has a believable persona and her wry comments often raise a smile and sometimes add a welcome touch of light relief.

Woo hoo! Thanks Steve :) I'm attempting to be anal & read these in order, so have read A, B & C. I have E, I, L, M, O, P & Q in Mt TBR. Anyone got F, G, & H?

Have just started reading the Queen's Fool by Philippa Gregory, so will finish that first before starting this.

Fabulous book & my last read of 2005. I'm really getting into this series & have read A,B,C & D. I especially thought the love interest was great, not saying what as don't want to spoil it for the next people in the ray.

I have a few bookcrossing Graftons in MT TBR, so if anyone reading this wants to read the others I have, please take a look & PM me. Cheers :)

I received this book a few days ago but have been unable to journal it as I can’t access the Bookcrossing website from my home computer at the moment. I’ve now got my boyfriend to sign in as me on his computer in order to journal some books. I’ve had a few other ring books arrive this week (why do they all always arrive at the same time?? LOL!) I’ll read this book as soon as I can though and will journal it again once I’ve read it.

Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed reading this book, as i have all the Sue Grafton books I've read so far. This one was more predictible than the others though, I realised very early on in the book who the killer was. I did keep reading though, just to be sure I was right (I was!). I still liked the book though. I wonder if this one felt different to others that I've read because it is an early one and the others I've read were mainly later in the series.

Thanks for letting me be a part of this ring though, I really appreciate it. :o)

I found this one hard going to start with, but then that could just have been me. I have enjoyed all the other books by Sue Grafton that I've read.
I will send it onto Jedsmom

Ooh thanks for this, I going to put it onto MT Toobie if you don't mind as I am also trying to read them in order. As I am the last on the current ring would it be ok to have the 'Golden Spike'?
