I've read another book by Caroline Stevermeer -- this one seemed really charming (and there is a second book in the series, always a good thing).

I just loved this book! The format was perfect -- the story takes the shape as correspondence between two young ladies. As it's explained in the afterword, the story actually was written when the two authors began playing the "Letter Game." The first one sent what was to become the first letter in the book, the second author replied -- and thus the book was written, with each author completing some of the plot without knowing what the other was going to write. The result is very realistic and quite charming.

I really enjoyed the two main characters, as well as the male leads. The twists and turns were fun, and the ending was great. I really look forward to the second installment!
