This is an interesting and important book, giving loads of potentially life-saving advice about how to use fear as a signal that you are in danger, and respond accordingly. I've seen DeBecker speak on the Oprah show before, and I've also read his other book, Protecting the Gift, and I think the advice he gives is sound and comforting, and I feel safer having read these books.

This was a part of my permanent collection, but when I checked YokoSpungeon's wishlist (having received her name in Toadee's Instant Relay) and saw this book, I decided to send it to her, and keep my eye out for another copy for myself - since I've read it, I'd rather see this copy out and about sharing its message to someone new.

I hope you enjoy it! :)

How WONDERFUL! I went down to get the post and found a beautifully wrapped package from HereBeDragons.

I was curious as to what this might be - and when I opened it was delighted to find it is a book from my wish list. How *thoughtful*. Thank you so much for sharing this book with me - I can't wait to read it.

Thank you also to Toadee for his outstanding services in organising the Instant Relay.

Released on Friday, December 03, 2004 at about 10:00:00 AM BX time (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) at Freemason's Arms, Longacre WC2 in London, England United Kingdom.

RELEASE NOTES:

Taking along to the Renegade meet-up tonight.

I am rather sorry to part with this book - although the cover is typical fad-bestseller (you know 'EAT FAT, GET THIN!' 'DIE TO LIVE!') it does contain some extremely useful information, and it would not surprise me if one day, one of those little hints pops into your head and saves your bacon.

I think I will hunt me out another copy of this to keep for myself and read again. Meanwhile, this copy is off to meet other people.

Interesting. This book was left here at the same time as the barman came round saying 'have any of you left a large bag outside?'. After some time during which everyone was urged to the back of the pub away from the windows, the police decided it was a false alarm (presumably the bag's owner was found). I was very glad - I like my windows!
