A truly great book. Very moving, and with something worth telling.
Also well written and well translated; what a bonus.

Just read it.

Very well written, with plenty to think about. I especially found the first section, detailing the affair between the author as a young teenager with Hanna, much older woman. A lot of the desciption of how he felt and how he later thought he had been manipulated struck a chord with me personally as my first long-term relationship was with an older woman, although I was not a teenager and she was only eight years my senior. But whole passages, such as the one where he says they didn't have a life together, she just allowed him into hers for short periods of time while keeping the rest of her life a secret, rang true.

People as work have seen me reading this book and asked about it. So I intend to release it there tomorrow by handing it on to a colleage with a request she pass it on after she has finished it.

An interesting and well written book that seem to be about first love between a boy and an older woman and how that love is betrayed. Betrayal is a strong theme as we also journey through the betrayal of humanity and how ultimately how that betrayal extends also to the older woman who we want to demonise but who in during the trail and at the end is the first victim in the story.

Oh wonderful! I find a book, and it turns out to be one that I released myself a few months ago! Someone put this book on my desk at work. I think it has been being passed around from person to person at work because at least two people have made journal entries for it since I released it, and someone has either tried to give it back to me, or they've given it to me because they know I read a lot. No point in continuing to let it wander around at work. I'll send it to the winner of the RABCK Sweepstakes and will mail it off the first chance I get to go to a post office.
