Picked this up for 50p in a charity shop, along with a pile of other leading titles! Took it home with the intention of saving it to read after my current book, but after reading the first few pages was compelled to carry on, and finished reading within 24hours.
"Notes on a scandal" is the rather dark and disturbing story of a school teachers affair with her 15 year old pupil. Narrated by her 'friend' Barbara who is a rather sinister and calculating character. Barbara is an excellent example of the unreliable narrator, who's relaying of the story reveals her own agenda. Gripping, compelling and fantastic stuff!
