WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Only just discovered that in my excitement I forgot to journal this book when I finished it last month! As Tony suggests, this is better that The Long Firm and is a great read. One of the things that I really enjoy about Jake Arnott's books is trying to identify the characters or situations that are taken from real life and then changed to suit the story. In He Kills Coppers, I was certain that I recognised Billy Porter and the incident (I won't give too much away!)for which he becomes notorious. It was only when I read "Steaming In" a book by Colin Ward a few weeks later that it became clear that the character was based upon real life villain Harry Roberts, right the way down to the songs that were sung about him at early 1970's football matches.
