I read this novel years ago when I was in highschool. It was interesting reading this story again after almost twenty years. I didn't care so much for the story when I was in highschool. But I have gain a better appreciation of the novel. Perhaps, I had some maturing to do before I could really apprecate the merits of the novel.

I have been collecting books for my sister, who teaches at a prison and is trying to help expand the prison library holdings. This book was among some bags of donations I was given. When I found it, I thought its travels might stop being recorded if I sent it on to the prison, so I found another copy of the book, gave her that one instead, and decided to read this copy myself. I actually read the book years ago when I was a teenager -- found it too dry then, but provocative enough to compel me to read other works by the author, including The Plague, one of my favorite novels. Coming across The Stranger in this way, however, has inspired me to read it again.

Got the book free from a bag of books to be expunged from the shelves of a used bookstore because it had sat on them so long. Had actually been looking for that very book as I'd just finished two other Camus books. Was very excited to see the Book Crossing sticker -- I've never found a tagged book before.
