The not completely real life story of Mabel Stark, the star attraction at the Ringlings Circus in the 1920s and 30s. Mabel was a real person, but this is a fictionalised account of her life-from her escape from a mental institution and subsequently ending up as a circus act, through her 5 marriages and her obsession with tigers. Funny, moving and realistic, I recommend this book!
