It''s here! I had completely forgotten about this book, so it was a lovely surprise to find it in my mailbox today. Thank you, Sidney1220!
What a great book! I just finished it and really enjoyed the read. It took me only two days to finish, which is a tell tale sign I really liked it. :D
It took me a while to get used to the format (all letters) and the language, but once I got into it I just couldn't put it down. I especially liked how even though Celie's life seemed to be all bad for a long time, in the end everything turned out alright. Which sounds a bit cheesy when I say it like that, but I think this book handled it very well. The story really touched me and it never seemed overly dramatized or anything. But then again, I'm a sucker for a bit of drama, so maybe my threshold is just low. :D
Anyway, suffice it to say I was really impressed by this book and I shall certainly recommend it to others.

Book arrived safely a few days ago (but computer acting weird has prevented me from reporting properly until now). Actually I have read this before, and enjoyed it, so I will hang on to it while deciding if I should reread or not, or look for another person to read it. Thanks anyway, Björg!
