"Nancy Blackett": Under Sail with Arthur Ransome

From the cover :
"For years Arthur Ransome's favourite yacht, the Nancy Blackett, slowly decayed as she lay tethered to the harbour wall in Scarborough. A car tumbling over the edge one stormy night almost finished her off before a devotee by the name of Michael Rines discovered her and decided to restore her. The ship was relaunched in 1989 in her old home port of Pin Mill. On that occasion, Roger Wardale met most of those alive today who knew at first hand of Ransome's passion for life afloat and came to realise how much still remained to be told off his forty years and more messing about in boats."

RELEASE NOTES:
Received today, thanks pab233! Swallows and Amazons is probably my no 1 book of all time, so I'm really looking forward to reading this. I have strong family connections with the Lake District and my mother's family own a cottage & chalet at the south end of Coniston Water, where some of Swallows & Amazons is set, so when I've read this I will try to pass it on to my aunt to release there.
I enjoyed this book although it lost me at some points with the technical sailing terms... I'm afraid most of my sailing 'experience' has been through the pages of Ransome's books. A nice insight into the life of one of my favourite authors though. I'm going to the Lakes this weekend so I will pass this on to my aunt to 'release' at Low Water End, Coniston.
