This is considered by many critics to be Steinbeck's best novel. I read it years ago and loved it.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I don't know what happened to this one, but have decided to make release notes on it because the stats on my bookshelf are a bit skewed in the wake of all this....Here's the story: my former girlfriend MissWatt hit a patch of ice and flipped her truck and died instantly on February 9, 2010; this occurred a scant week after the suicide of my son.So I wasn't in any kind of shape to track down the many books of mine that were still in her house - I have no idea what happened to them. Right now, more than a year later, I've managed to look through the boxes of books in my house and ascertain somewhat which ones disappeared into a black hole...... they may have been gathered up to be sold at garage sales or donated to charities, or maybe even (God forbid!) thrown in the trash.

But if you happen to receive this book somehow, be respectful of its history and journal it.

Please.
