I picked this book up from the free book exchange at the Farmingdale Public Library b/c I am always drawn to books that center around food and are set in eateries. This setting is a kosher-style deli in Manhattan, and the story is full of quirky New York-isms.
I enjoyed the humorous and creative way the story flowed. It is so much more than a romance novel. Delightful reading.
My favorite passage:
Days had passed since he'd last seen Susie - and kissed her. He could still taste her kiss, the kiss that had convinced him that they ought to be married, because when two people kissed and it felt that good, that right, that perfect, why mess with fate? If he were a religious man, he'd say that kisses as spectacular as what he and Susie experienced when they kissed where God's way of telling them that they belonged together.
