A children's book by Neil Gaiman.
From Chapter VIII
"How do I know you'll keep your word?" asked Coraline,
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."
"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.
"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."
Read it to the little darlings who refuse to go to sleep.
If they're going to stay up all night they may as well have something to think about.

Sending to Saphyre - Winner of the Halloween Music Contest (the prize was any 10 Available books selected from my Bookshelf). Congratulations again Saphyre, hope you enjoy them!
Arrived yesterday and I have already dug in to this one, it just looked so good!
I enjoyed this so much I have read it twice. At first I thought I would let my daughter read it as it is quite an easy read. But then I realized she would never sleep again. It's really a neat little storybut not one for the little guys.
From chater IV
"we...we could be frends, you know" said Coraline.
"We could be rare specimens of an exotic breed of African dancing elephants." said the cat. "But we're not. At least," it added cattily after daring a brief look at Coraline, "I'm not."
Coraline sighed.
"Please. What's your name?" Coraline asked the cat. "Look, Im Coraline. Okay?"
The cat yawned slowly, carefully, revealing a mouth and tounge of astounding pinkness. "Cats don't have names." it said.
"No?" said Coraline.
"no," said the cat. "Now you people have names. That's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are so we don't need names."
Gotta love Cattitide!

I really liked the book. The story reminded me kind of of Alice in Wonderland.
