This is Tim Moores travelogue of his journey around the streets and places of London which feature on the Monopoly game board. Entertaining escapades with some history of the places visited.
An amusing read whether you are a Monopoly addict/fan or not.

An interesting read about both London and Monopoly. Maybe I didn't appreciate this book as much as I could have since I grew up playing the American version of Monopoly. He did seem a bit obsessed with the board game.
The narrative itself was at times really interesting (Did you know around 100 years ago there was a Lyons Corner House on almost every corner, where you could go in and have tea--the Starbucks of yesteryear! Or do you know where Picadilly Circus gets its name?) and also at times it was very dull (as he goes on and on about the details of the board game).

I got this one from jennannej at the April BookCrossing "Meetup" and neglected to "capture" it on-line until now because it was in a bookbag I had forgotten to empty. My apologies...I'll be reading this one and passing it on soon! I've been meaning to read one of Moore's books for some time, and this gives me a great opportunity. Thanks for bringing it to the meeting, jennannej!
Followup later -- I enjoyed Moore's writing style, although I'd agree that he does tend to "go on" about the game. His descriptions and anecdotes about the London sites had me wishing I could visit. Perhaps some day...

RELEASE NOTES:
One of two books I'm mailing to my friend KBV in Reading, PA. She's a bit of an Anglophile, and is planning a July trip of her own to London, so I thought this might provide some appropriate thematic reading for her before she heads overseas.
