Well, I don't want to say too much about this book, as its about to be ringed, and I wouldn't want to spoil anyone's fun...
I will say that this is more of a romance story than the Stephanie Plum stories. It is fairly plain to see that this was written before the Plum series; many facets of the Plum books are here, in earlier form, including characters and turns of phrase.
For me, the trouble is that is was too much of a romance, and not enough adventure. I think those who enjoy romances more than I do will appreciate this book more than I did.

Just finished! Not as great as Stephanie Plum, but as this was a predecessor, that's to be expected! There were definitely some Plum elements, lots of car damage, way too much going on in Daisy's life. To me it was pretty comparable to the last one I read, Full House, overwhelmed, barely making it woman meets filthy rich playboy guy who gets a lesson in what it's like not to be privileged, etc. Quick and enjoyable! This was a fun, fast read. I agree that it's not as good as the Stephanie Plum's, but you could DEFINITELY tell it was the same author, and I enjoyed playing "pick out the Stephanie-like moments" as I read it. Will send this on tomorrow.

Arrived in today's mail. Seems as if the front cover has come unglued from the spine. I'll try to do a repair job on it before it leaves me. I have a couple bookrings in front of it but I am quickly getting caught up now and hope to have it read and on its way soon! Thanks for allowing me to participate!
I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to finish this. My bookrings have gotten really backed up recently. It was a good story though. I really enjoy Janet Evanovich and her crazy characters. Fun romance with charming protagonists. Sadly this is not a well book. It has a loose cover (will fix) but has also been in the rain at some time. It is such a light easy read that it will soon be on its way to nikel27.
