Blue Remembered Hills: A Recollection

A good book, but I wish there would have been more about her disease than places she visited, etc. As morbid as it sounds, I found her tales of medical care, etc more interestring than her travels. Also, a little difficult to read in places as it is written in British English and I speak "American". I found myself a couple times stopping and having to figure out the meaning of a word via the context it is used in. But that just means I increased my vocabulary and I'm ready for a trip to England, right? :)
Glad to see your grappling with British English continues jenndiggy - and yes, it all helps prepare you for your travels. Much of Aussie English has its roots in Cockney vernacular...and, of course, Irish...
This book is part of a collection sent to me in Australia by jenndiggy, all the way from West Virginia - so I feel very priviliged!
I too will be interested in the medical side of this story. I'll let you know how I go with it.
