Book Description

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum debuted in Janet Evanovich's award-winning One for the Money. Here, she's back, packing a whole lot of attitude -- not to mention stun guns, defense sprays, and a .38 Smith & Wesson. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations.

Aided by her tough bounty hunter pal, Ranger, and her funeral-happy Grandma Mazur, Stephanie's soon staggering knee-deep in corpses, trying to shake Morelli?and stirring up a very nasty enemy.

Cute funny but very like book One for the Money. Hopefully, the bad guys have different traits in the rest.

Thanks NeedSun, for the first 4 books of the Stephanie Plum series. I can't wait to read them as I've heard nothing but great things about them! :)

Another good and funny one. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. I'm hoping Stephanie will hook up with Joe Morelli soon, and according to the Plumography at the back of book 1, I think this happens around book 4, or maybe that's when he asks Stephanie to marry him. In any case, though I wouldn't consider this a romance, I like the little element of romance that is there, the burgeoning relationship between Stephanie and Joe.

Again, I'll keep this in reserve until I've read another one or two and then pass them along to another BC'er. Need to check and see if all my favorite BC pals have read them yet.

This book will be used to restart Sherri5762's stalled bookring for books 1 through 8 of the Stephanie Plum series. (See for the list of participants.)

In this restored ring, the books will be sent out 2 at a time, after I've read them. Here's the link to the first two books, traveling together, under their new BCID:

· One for the Money
· Two for the Dough

Here's the remaining ring participants:

· jamieh2003, WV <== skip for books 1-3
· Rojeli, TN
· Lorelei03, NY
· Sherri5762, TX <== return to Sherri

Thanks to CheriePie for donating this book to finish the bookring box I started with this series.

I see she's already updated the list. Here's the original entry, if you are interested:

Thanks again.

Well, jamieh2003 already has books 1 thru 3, and I haven't been able to rouse up Rojeli or Lorelei03, even with an ISO post in the bookrings forum. In addition, Sherri5762 finally received her copies back from InAPerfectBind, where they were stalled for over a year. Thus, this copy of Two for the Dough is going back into my AVL list.

I've got future books in the series to offer up as needed as I read them. I'll check with Sherri as I go along...
