Ooh, more Shopaholic for me! :) I'm going to keep this a little while, because I haven't even read the second book yet!

I absolutely loved this book! It's the best in the series so far, and I'm really looking forward to reading the next installment.

What made this better than the two previous books was that Becky wasn't so annoyingly stupid in this one. Yes, she got herself in trouble once again, but this time I couldn't blame her for doing anything wrong. I probably would have been just like her in the same situation. Because this time it wasn't about spending too much money, it was about both Becky's and Luke's mothers wanting to plan their wedding - on two different continents. Like Becky said: "I can't win. Whatever I do. Either way, I'm going to let down a whole load of people."

What made this book so good was Becky's humanity: she's adorably superficial, but nevertheless a wonderful, caring person. And her friends Suze and Tarquin are sweet. What annoyed me in the previous books was that sometimes the author made Becky seem really stupid, and the next moment really intelligent. It just didn't go well together, and I really prefer the intelligent dreamer Becky is in this book.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the book:
"I need to escape. I need a place of peace; a place of sanctuary. A place where I'll find solace. 'I'm going to Tiffany's'."

"I feel so helpless. Nothing I do seems to work. I've tried making him bowls of nourishing home-made soup. (At least, it says they're nourishing and home-made on the carton.)"

"It's going to take a miracle to save me. Which is basically what I'm pinning my hopes on now. I've lit fifty candles at St Thomas, and fifty more at St Patrick's, and I've put up a petition on the prayer board at the synagogue on 65th, and given flowers to the Hindu goddess Ganesh. Plus a group of people in Ohio whom I found on the Internet are all praying hard for me."

Beccan häät ovat kuin junanonnettomuus. Lukiessa tekee mieli lämäyttää päähenkilöä ja huutaa että herää! ei tuosta tuu mitään :D

Aika hauska suupala tuo kirja kuitenkin. Yritän palauttaa Kialalle huomenna.
