On the Beaten Path: An Appalachian Pilgrimage

I loved this book! It was such a wonderful journey, both on the trail and in Mr. Rubin's life.
I love hiking on the AT, and every time I am on it, I imagine what it must be like to be a thru-hiker. Who knows? Maybe someday I will be able to say I did it. But until then, I will continue to enjoy every step I take on this magical path through these beautiful hills.

Sent via media mail to BlueAmazon for trade. Enjoy!
thanks, Figarofigaro! this was in the post when I returned from my mini-vacation [AZ and, shockingly, Palm Springs!] and I look forward to reading it.
Somehow I never got this read. It's going out in a trade. I'm SO sorry it took so long to mail...

Thank you so much for the trade, BlueAmazon. I love books about thru hikers and I'm getting to the same stage in life as the author when he did his. This will be a wonderful book to read as the weather gets dreary.
I finally got around to reading this while on vacation and I was a little disappointed. His writings about the trail were superb, but when he tried to talk about himself, the book fell a little flat. It basically was his midlife crisis, and he left a lot unanswered in that respect.
