The Tin Whistle Tune Book

This little book comes from Williamsburg, Virginia. It appears to be aimed at beginning players. Who knows, maybe it even came packaged with a pennywhistle from one of the Colonial Wiliamsburg gift shops.
Some of the tunes are "An the kirk wad let me be", "Bottom of the punch bowl", "Gi'e the Mawking mair o't", and "When bidden to the wake or fair".

Great bibliography of early American manuscripts.

Hooray! I received this from Megi53. It's *lovely*! All of my other whistle books are of the "here is your music now play it" genre. This book is actually quite pretty and has a short history of the whistle and the tunes.
Thanks so much, Megi53 - this is great! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go try out some of these fabulous tunes. :-)
