I was in Frinton-on-Sea to watch the last night of a play directed by my boyfriend. The leading actress had collapsed that afternoon and they had to rehearse in an understudy. So, I was waiting for my boyfriend to finish at the theatre. I was in the only pub in Frinton. This book was on a little wooden table next to a leather sofa and provided a perfect way to pass the time while I waited. I haven't finished it yet - I live in London and will probably be reading it on the tube.
