This particular book was used by my eldest brother Peter as a school text in the early 1960's. I don't believe its been opened since - It's time to give it its freedom.
Banning trivia: England, 1810 performances were suspended as they were deemed to be inappropriate during George III’s bout of supposed madness. The ban was lifted after the death of George III in 1820
USA November 1999, Windsor Forest High School, Savannah required seniors to obtain permission slips before they could read Hamlet, Macbeth, or King Lear. The teacher's school board had pulled the books from class reading lists, citing "adult language" and references to sex and violence.
