I read this one because it is one of the ones you're supposed to have read in High School and I hadn't. Maybe that's way I didn't enjoy it as much some of my friends. Since it is a "classic" I thought this one would be interesting to release to see if it has a better chance of getting found and reported.

after I read it, I will most likey give it back to the lovely coffee mistress I got it from at Denny's, as she has more friends that would enjoy this book. *shrug* Or I might just toss it in a stew pot with some carrots and taters, as my fridge is empty at the moment, and this book was said to be "yummy" by another friend whom has read it.
*ponders how the coffee mistress might punish him with decaf*

I liked this book a lot... at first I really had a low oppinion of Holden he just seemed to be a perfect example of somone with an anti social personality disorder... and towards the middle of the book I started to really feel for the poor kid..... aside from the book being writen in a timeframe when a lot of what was writen was taboo, I really couldn't see what was so contraversial about this book... seemed like a pretty average kid in this day and age.. but when it was writen, free thinking individuals weren't so plentifull. He saw the world as sick and sad in it's own plasiticity. although he had a very negative outlook on things, I was hopefull that by the end of the book he'd grow enough to realize that he himself was just as bad in hiz own way, and that he could make a change in the world.... Help wake a few sleepers up maybe.
I do suggest this book though. it was very yummy.
my thanx to the lovely coffee mistress that loaned it to me.
