Journal Entry 1 by Random-Poet from Edinburgh, Scotland United Kingdom on Sunday, August 8, 2004
A beautiful, simply told story of a silk merchant finding a woman in Japan and falling in love with her without talking. But just as beautiful the wisdom of the wife and the sense of living a good and happy life in spite of his hidden unrequited love – so much nicer than pining away (or making your partner incredibly unhappy etc).

Having now read this book in Italian this English translation copy is now available!

An unusual and haunting little book with some beautiful imagery and which leaves one with an overwhelming impression of tranquility. Simple and striking, like a Japanese block print, and like silk, transluscent and ethereal.

    Mailed to twinkpuddin today...

Journal Entry 6 by twinkpuddin from Seattle, Washington USA on Monday, September 26, 2005

This book just got here, and the envelope was full of written things. I think it got lost in the mail and took a loooong time to reach me! Just to let you know it's safe!
