All the Pretty Horses (The Border Trilogy, Vol 1)
6 journalers for this copy...
Haven't seen the movie yet either...
I received this book in the mail today. Thanks for the trade, Millerbug! I'll comment after I read it, and eventually release it again.
I very much enjoyed this book about a 16-year-old Texan who is the last in a line of ranchers. His parents have split, his dad is very ill, and his mother is interested in the theater, not the ranch, and plans to sell it. He and his friend saddle up and head for Mexico. McCarthy's writing style is different, but it works for me. (I've never seen the movie and have no idea how it compares with the book.)
I mailed this book today to fly46 in Ohio. Hope you enjoy it!
Got five books, one set of audio books, and a cd from my friend today, along with a post card of South Carolina and information on Louisiana tourism! Man am I going to be busy!!!
Can't wait to read the book! I'll post more when I can!

13 May, 2004.
I am not going to sit here and explain myself.
Just know that this book was stalled with me for a number of reasons. Many were beyond my control. Some were not.
Whether or not I have read this book - and regardless of how badly I wanted to read it - it's going.
A period of my life is changing, and with it, out must go quite a bit.
I am moving to Nashville in a few weeks, save an apocalypse. Also sans apocalyps, I am thus doing a mass exodus of books.
Regardless of any feelings or ill will towards me, I assure you that I have kept this book safely in my care. It was in the company of other books that have kept it from being lonely. It was probably even read by my mother who, sans an act of God, will not come and journal the books no matter how many times I try to convince her to.
I still don't have any money, but I have just enough to put this in a box and ship it off to nyisutter, who has graciously offered to send these to whoever their next intended participant is.
Goodbye little book. Be well loved and have a good life.

I received this book in a box of bookrings that I am helping Fly46 move on. The best I can figure, this book is not part of a ring/ray, so I will probably read it and then pass it on in my bookswap list.
Sending this to an OBCZ sweepstakes winner.
