Still reading this one - great so far, if a little wierd. Intersting account of Paris in the 18th C, seen through the life of Grenouille who has no smell to him, but extraordinary sense of smell. He also hates people, because of the way they smell. Strange, but good!

Turned out to be an amazing book about one human's hatred and desire. Sent to a friend in Poland, who will hopefully then set it free.

I really love books that make me think about a whole lot of other issues after I have read them - plus when I was reading this book a stranger came up to me and asked me if I was enjoying it and that he was reading it and he thought it was one of the best books he had ever read!
